Have you heard about Bookfluencer?

I’ll forgive you if you don’t follow me on Instagram, and thus may not know that my bestie and I started a podcast. Introducing Bookfluencer a bimonthly production from myself and Tiffany Woodall. In it, we talk about the books we’re reading or recently completed, tap into common themes seen from one book to the other, remark on trends we’re noticing or a philosophical principle that applies, or a random TikTok that, thanks to my beautifully firing neurons, I’ve decided is connected to the topic at hand. Sounds enticing, right? I sure hope so! (But also, if not, that’s OK too.)

We are more than a dozen episodes in right now, which means we’re hitting a sweet spot, we know what we’re trying to talk about, how to come prepared to the discussion (or less prepared to inspire genuine conversation), and are generally reading more books.

Why start a podcast?

Well, it’s very simple. We’re two creative besties who live in different geographies. We enjoy the consistency, creativity, and accountability of recording and publishing bimonthly podcasts that we can share with others—or just ourselves.

Here’s a lovely example of how this podcast has brought more joy to my life: Tiffany is our editor extraordinaire so I get to be genuinely surprised each release with what adorable tidbit she decides is going to be our cold opener. A few weeks ago, this was the pregnant pause and mumbling of me trying to find the word “sequel.” I was delighted and laughed my sizable assets off.

Where can you find it?

It’s available wherever you listen to podcasts. I love listening on Spotify, but perhaps Apple Podcasts is more your thing. It’s published—and available to listen—on Podbean, so when in doubt, check it out there. For my loved ones (whom I expect to listen to the pod) or other like-minded bookish individuals like Tiffany and I, go ahead and hit the follow or subscribe buttons on your platform so you’ll receive a notification whenever we publish a new episode.

Read more books

Do you value giddy banter among friends? Do you enjoy book clubs? Are you attempting to reach a book goal this year? If any of these apply to you, I’d encourage you to go ahead and pick an episode to give the pod a listen. The book titles are listed in almost every episode’s name for ease of selection; find one on a book/topic that appeals to you.

At that, I leave you with this, the lovely sign-off that we use for every episode, because, after all, the world is a better place when you read more books.
